Our Class B+ motorhomes begin with an engineered foundation designed to deliver the strength, stability, and durability that set Chinook apart.
Inspired by the construction methods used on larger luxury motorhomes, Chinook adapted this proven approach to foundation engineering for its Class B+ lineup. Unlike many Class B+ manufacturers that rely on bolted outriggers or C-channel construction, Chinook's Class B+ models feature a fully welded 2" x 4" steel substructure cradle foundation. Mounted using anti-vibration rubber isolator pads, this full-perimeter steel framework creates an independent structure designed to distribute weight evenly throughout the coach for enhanced stability and durability.
Combined with aluminum-framed sidewalls and roof construction with bonded aluminum siding panels, this engineered design delivers the strength, ride quality, and long-term durability Chinook is known for.
Available on Chinook Class B+ models (Concourse, Destiny, Maverick and Summit). Our Bayside Class B features a different construction method specifically engineered for its Transit van platform.
Before the walls, cabinets, and interior come together, every Chinook Class B+ steel substructure cradle foundation is hand welded by skilled craftsmen to create a strong, durable base built for the road ahead.
